Highlights

  • New: Hair Card Builder (most Hair Tube Builder features + new workflow extras)

  • Better Maya integration: Dockable UIs across tools

Hair Tube Builder

UI

  • Layer list now scales with window height; the S/M/L size buttons are removed

  • Curve/strand display toggles respect selection

  • Main UI and Strand Editor can both be docked

  • Auto‑switches to curve mode where required no manual swap needed anymore

  • Rename: Paint FX Tool → Paint Strand Tool. Choose a target layer via Into Layer. Create a layer first if none exists

Mirror / Flip / Duplicate

  • New: Flip over axis → Mirror → Flip over X/Y/Z

  • New: Duplicate entire Tube Strand layer

  • Faster: Greatly reduced mirror time

  • Feedback: Progress bar for duplicate/mirror/copy/paste

UV

  • UV Retaining System: Toggle auto UV tracking with the green/red icon

Deformers

  • New: Helper Curve deformer to drive multiple strands

Profile Curves

  • New: Ability to add/remove Mirror points on profile curves

  • New: Match to Root Profile

Aim Modes

  • New: All curveWarp aim modes exposed in Strand Editor (Auto Normal, Curve Normal, Aim Curve)

  • New: Capture Normal button to set a camera oriented normal for Aim Curve mode

  • New: Aim Spans added to allow controlling aim curve spans vs path spans for better curl/coil orientation

  • Scene Settings: Creation aim mode can be changed globally

Interactive Curve Tool Support

  • New: Adjust scale and rotation while using Interactive Curve Tool's Sculpt Tool

  • Improved: In Geometry Mode, entering an Interactive Curve Tool auto‑displays curves

Misc

  • Sliding Path Span now preserves original curve curvature

  • Added safety checks on the Subdivision slider in Strand Editor to prevent UV issues


Fixes

  • Undo now correctly restores scale/twist ramps

  • Given Normal values now function as expected (Main UI → Menu → Update V14.03/V14.05 to Current)

  • Mirrored strands with UV retain shape for strip/grid UV types

  • Adding profile points auto‑updates UV when Auto UV is on

  • Opening Main UI correctly sets Curve Mode

  • Right‑click Delete Layer no longer stays greyed out after exiting isolation

  • Shader swap proceeds correctly even when layers are isolated

  • Includes most capabilities from Hair Tube Builder, plus all updates listed above

  • Works seamlessly with Interactive Curve Tools

  • Adjustable subdivisions along path curve

Maya Curve Color

Curve Extract

  • Pre‑check validates selection against extraction mode to prevent freezes/crashes (e.g., tube vs card mismatch)


Curve Cut

  • New: Cut by distance

  • New: Reverse cut direction

  • New: Preview distance for both percentage, and distance‑based modes

  • New: Toggle automatic preview


Curve Toolkit

  • Improved Mirror: Retains thickness and root‑marker visibility (e.g., from Curve Color Tool)

  • Curve Check: Detects overlapping curves without requiring Freeze Transform

  • New: Select curves shorter than a given length (handy for finding tiny stray curves)


Curve Rebuild

  • Tagged curves refresh automatically on new selections, no need to close UI or click Rebuild anymore


Interactive Curve Tools

  • Dockable and adjustable UI

  • Brush annotations added, hover on icons to see hotkeys

  • If you use the marking menu, download and reinstall the latest .mel file


Curve Sculpt

  • New hotkeys for Tube/Card/GS curves:

    • Ctrl + MMB to scale

    • Shift + MMB to rotate

  • Smoothing reworked: Replaced Maya’s Curve Smooth (which created extra nodes) with a custom implementation better suited for complex setups (Tube/Card Builders, Proxy Managers)

  • Added control sections for scale and rotation strength, this is for the Hair Strand Builders


Curve Attach

  • Fix: Curves with non‑zero transforms no longer snap unexpectedly when attaching


Curve to Twist Proxy Manager

  • Fix: Correct inner‑tube counts—no extra tubes are created


Other

  • Data‑query decoding improved; clearer connection‑error messages for easier debugging


Licensing

  • Studio: Allows offline periods after activation; only the refresher machine needs periodic online checks

  • Single‑User: New Account Session panel showing subscription details

  • Single‑User: Self machine‑binding supported

Offline support

  • allow offline usage, re-check days based on the reccurence of your subscription
