Retaining UVs

Retaining UVs

  • An automatic UV retaining system has been implemented. Now, whenever you move or scale a UV of a tube, its position will be baked and remembered. With this, adjustments like changing subdivision, adding/removing mid curves, or modifying strand shapes won't destroy your carefully laid-out UVs.

  • Important Notes for UV retaining to Work:

    • UVs must be set to either Stripe or Grid mode.

    • At the moment UV retaining does not support rotation.

Top of UV is the root on the tube strand, UV need to remain vertical for retaining to work

When the UV is vertical (default stripe or grid type UV), and when it's moved, or scaled, changing the shape type, or subdivisions on the tube strand will then retains the UV.
