# XGen Attributes/Modifier Match Tool

## Overview

In order to match attribute(s) from the Primitives tab or the Preview/Output tab, the target XGen descriptions need to have matching 'Generator Method' **and** 'Primitive Type' to the source description.\
\
For example, if a source description "des\_A" is using 'Randomly across the surface', and "des\_B" is using 'In uniform rows and columns', attributes can not be matched. In this case, "des\_B" is not compatible and will not be listed.\
\
Or, if a source description "des\_A" is using "Spline" as Primitive Type, and "des\_B" is using "Card", attributes can not be matched. In this case, "des\_B" is also not compatible and will not be listed.
